Cpl. Matt Conley was a true hero. I know his family and my husband works with Matt’s father-in-law. You never think you’re going to know someone killed in this war against terror and then it knocks on your door and you know. Matt’s funeral was the most honorable thing I’ve ever seen and the pride I felt in my heart on that day can’t mask the pain that the family feels in their heart. Matt is gone but his legacy lives on in those who love him and in his daughter who isn’t even born yet. What an awesome father that little girl would have had. What an awesome legacy he leaves for her. My prayers to all the friends and family affected by this war on terror. My brother-in-law served 15 months in Iraq and came back to us safely. For that, I’m grateful and blessed. My prayers to each and every one of you and please know we support you, we are behind you 100% and we owe you a debt far greater than we could ever repay.
